How can I not post the first episode of The Boondocks season 3 on a website labeled “reporting live from the boondocks”. If you couldn’t tell by my mixtape Live From The Boondocks: Commencement, I am deeply inspired by this show. I haven’t even watched it yet but I’m SO juiced. Let me know what you think!!!

Earth Wind & Fire recently re-released their classic album Spirit with some previously unreleased bonus tracks. They are nothing like what you are use to hearing from EWF but definitely just as fresh. Big ups to DJ Funklor for plugging me with this last week! This ones my favorite:

On Tuesday night, Bobby Ray (formerly known only in the very recent past as ‘B.O.B’) captured the attention and interest of a few hundred hipsters performing at the South by Southwest music festival.

The man is nice. Beyond being the poignant-speaking Southern phenom we all knew him to be, Bobby Ray displayed his abilities to sing, play guitar, and apparently drum. He even stole my rapping-while-on-the-piano gimmick. Fucker. For now, check out this clip and stay tuned for more updates on SXSW.
