I been busy ya’ll. I had three days of rest after the premiere of my solo show in Ithaca and then went straight into rehearsals for Word Becomes Flesh – a play by Marc Bamuthi Joseph. We spent a little over two weeks in the Bay Area getting it ready for its premiere in Dallas at the National Performance Network where it was given a spot to perform as one of five best productions funded by this Network in its 25 years of existence.

Kinda like a big deal.

And we killed it. It was hard work but I was apart of a cast of MONSTERS. The writer and director, Marc Bamuthi Joseph, pushed us all to our limits. We learned choreography, made music, and wrote poetry. It was a beautiful process and at the end of the day, it was a success. It looks like we’ll be touring this show in 2011 through 2012. Watch out ya’ll – some of the most talented brothers are coming to a town near you!
