No. Wait. I’m HERE.

“You’re like the Hip-Hop Stephen King” – D. Scott

For the last month, I have been setting up a residency in collaboration with Ithaca College to create a solo theater production and an accompanying soundtrack over the course of a very focused and concentrated six weeks. I am pleased to say, after much stress and strife, I am here – living on a farm in a cabin surrounded by horses and hens – preparing to begin my work on the project I have been conceptualizing for quite some time. I will be ending the residency by showcasing an excerpt of this piece at Ithaca College sometime in mid-October but this, by no means, will complete the lifespan of this project. It is just the initial step towards creating a meaningful and transformational piece of art.

After this residency, I will be asking for your help to support the continuation of this project. For now, I would appreciate your kind words, well wishes and silent prayers as I begin this journey. I couldn’t have even imagined this were it not for your love and support you have given me and iLL-Literacy through the years.

With SO much LOVE,

Dahlak
